Oh Phone Go Away!!!

"Okay! Phone this person." she said.
"I can't," I said.
"Why not?" she asked, "it's only a phone..."

It's only a phone...
A bloody phone!
A bleeping,
Blarping,
Farting phone!

It rings,
It causes fear.
I dial,
My nerves take over.
Who's gonna answer?
What do I say?
Will I breakdown?

OH PHONE GO AWAY!!!

Now they're mobile.
Now they're smart.
More to go wrong;
More to go fart!

Fucking phones!
I'm scared as hell!
Nasty calls;
Nice ones as well!

OH PHONE GO AWAY!!!!

Pharmaceutical Godzilla

Bring me the mood chiller,
The pain killer,
That pharmaceutical Godzilla,
That steering tiller.

Bring me the head thumper,
That mood bumper,
The cozy jumper,
That pharmaceutical de-lumper.

Bring me a mood I can choose,
One that will ooze,
Not one that will bruise,
Not one I can lose.

Hold me within your palm,
So I'll be calm,
Wrapped in your charm,
So I do no harm...

Questions

Who does?
Who doesn't?
Who will?
Who won't?
Who should?
Who shouldn't?
Who can?
Who can't?
Who must?
Who mustn't?
Who's listening to this?
Oh! No one....

Are You Ready To Go Back To...?

A ship lies on the ocean floor,
Its back split asunder.
The splendour of 100 years ago,
Encrusted,
Decaying.
The shoes of the lost,
Scattered around and spread wide.
The sight eerily beautiful,
A memorial to elegance;
A remembrance of a lost age.
Yet the wreck has its own grace,
Its own defining beauty in its decay.
Its name is imprinted in history.
A message to the future,
A warning from the past.
Remember it forever,
But let it rest in silence,
Until it is only a memory.
Its story told forever,
And cherished.
Remember those lost,
One thousand five hundred and three,
Heroic in their deaths,
Now part of a legend,
Now part of the sea,
Now part of the planet,
And the ship lies,
A magnificent headstone,
Silent,
Yet full of life,
The life of the creatures,
That weave their way through,
And settle,
And deposit,
And grow.

A Pancreatic Plea

Islets of Langerhans,
Do me a favour,
Make me some insulin,
So my food I savour.

I'm fed up with needles,
I'm fed up with pills,
The vials of insulin,
I'd throw to the hills.

So Islets of Langerhans,
Please do some work.
Make me some insulin,
Come on don't shirk!!!

The Jolly Fat Man

I'm The Jolly Fat Man.
I'm laughing all the time.
I laughed all through my heart attack,
That isn't such a crime!
I laughed all through angina.
Then they told me I must slim.
So I started on a diet,
And now I'm Jolly Grim!

The True Love

Soft the moonlight on his skin,
Listen as his heart beats within.
This is love and is no sin.
This is the love you wanted.

Rest your head upon his chest.
Safe in the knowledge he loves you best.
Be at no other persons behest.
This is the love you've chosen.

Take his hand when he has woken.
Show him love that is unspoken.
Make sure that love can ne'er be broken.
This is the love that's true.

It is the love for you...

The Angel & The Cow

An Angel looked down on the World.
He frowned and so his wings unfurled.
No one seemed to be having fun.
So something just had to be done.
The Angel jumped out of his cloud.
He swooped and shouted out aloud.
"Come all you people celebrate,
At least be joyful any rate!"
The Angel flew through street and lane,
He flew through sunshine, snow and rain.
But no person did he find,
Only a cow sat on her behind.
The Angel landed soft as snow,
And o'er to the bovine he did go.
"oh cow why do you sit here?"
Said the cow, "I feel quite queer!"
The Angel, shocked the cow could talk,
In a circle he did walk.
"where are the people?" he did ask.
"I ate 'em," said the cow aghast.
The Angel said, "Why'd you do that?"
The cow replied, "They took my hat!"
The Angel stared at that reply.
He thought of asking the cow why.
Before he could, a church bell rang.
And in the distance voices sang.
The Angel looked upon the cow.
"You have lied, I know that now!
They're all in church! Why did you lie?"
The cow just mooed. She didn't know why.
From then on she became aloof.
The Angel flew up on the church roof.
He listened to the joyful song.
He knew that nothing now was wrong
.

What should I have called this?

When we lose those we love,
We miss them, but we know.
They watch over us from above;
They watch us as we grow.

The tears we've shed,
Blend with the rain,
And fall upon the ground.
Remember with each tear,
Shows love that is unbound.

Remember all the happiness.
Remember all the cheer.
Remember them as they were,
When they were still here.

And if you smile when you think,
Of when they were alive.
That means that a new star is born,
And their memories will survive.

They're Open On Monday!

Why the panic?
They're open on Monday!
Your trolley's too packed.
Why all that booze?
You won't run out,
They're back open on Monday!

Hey leave some for us!
They're open on Monday!
Do you need all that meat?
They're closed for one day,
They're back open on Monday!
Just chill and stop the panic!

Panic

I slip outside myself,
Watching myself rigid,
Rigid with fear,
Rigid with panic.
Heart racing,
Feeling faint
But not falling.

Gotta get out
Right away,
Into safety,
But can hardly move.

Want to scream,
But can't get the sound out.
A silent scream then.
A silent scream in the chaos.

Less Religion

So we've lost our religion,
Is that an irrevocable decision?
Or is the secular,
More acceptable?
Could there be no revision?
Of this new secular vision.

So we now worship retail!
Piddling little detail!
Gadgets are idols,
Playthings our trifles.
Go worship at Tesco*
Or retail alfresco.

So switch off your toys,
You naughty girls and boys!
Go back to nature,
Relax and debate.
Go somewhere spiritual,
Regain your self ritual**...
