So we've lost our religion,
Is that an irrevocable decision?
Or is the secular,
More acceptable?
Could there be no revision?
Of this new secular vision.
So we now worship retail!
Piddling little detail!
Gadgets are idols,
Playthings our trifles.
Go worship at Tesco*
Or retail alfresco.
So switch off your toys,
You naughty girls and boys!
Go back to nature,
Relax and debate.
Go somewhere spiritual,
Regain your self ritual**...
