Market

Market
By J. R. A. Gigney

Hey People!
Come along!
We're waiting here,
To sell you stuff,
In Walthamstow,
Where things ain't rough.

The longest Market,
Lots of stalls,
Lots to sell,
Lots of balls!
Vegetables,
To make you healthy.
Come and buy,
To make us wealthy...

So come along,
And browse,
Then spend some cash!
On those lovely goods,
Of which we're proud!

  1. Forgive my ignorance...
    J. A. Bird... Which one?
    Did he/she approve your effort?
I like the poem. It reminds me of a visit to Tower Hamlets market in 1970 and frozen to death.
